Reliable and great work! I sent request last Thursday, and Jonathan replied pretty quickly, so we were able to get him stopped by this Tuesday for estimate and the work was done this Friday! The work team is leaded by Jose, who speaks English well and is very kind. It was a kinda hot day but they worked effient and organized. Everything was done as we discussed and they finished the job with careful cleanning. Highly recommend their service and Jose's work! Thank you very much!

Updated Review to 5 stars. Johnathan reached out direct and helped us to resolve a bad situation. He gave us a fair price trimming significant profit from the job, and helped us work with the city and take down the tree. Johnathan truly does care about his company and about his clients.

With all of the great reviews I was feeling pretty optimistic about helping my brothers to get started with some long-needed tree trimming at my mom's house while I was in town for her funeral. I used Yelp to solicit quotes from several businesses (honestly that didn't work particularly well - but is not a factor in this review since it didn't work too well for anyone). Majestic responded to the Yelp request quickly and said they would send someone out to have a look w/in the next couple of days. Late the next day I got a call saying that one of their guys was in South San Jose, was it a convenient time to come over? It was, and he was there in 5-10 minutes. We looked at the trees that were at risk of getting tangled up in power lines, and other trees that were encroaching upon the roof of the house. He had some good advice -- talking about opening up the trees with selective pruning rather than just topping the trees, making sure to bring the trees next to the house down so that they aren't a highway for rodents to access the roof, suggesting that a particularly hardy shrub could be cut back pretty severely without affecting its health. Sounds great, right, so why the 2-star review? Simply stated, I never got the estimate. He said he would email it that evening, then when I followed-up the next day to make sure he had my correct email address he promised it that day. Never saw it. Too bad - based upon their demonstrated expertise they would have been my choice as long as the estimate came within our budget.

So I have this big oak tree in my front yard and it had been approximately 4 years since I last had it pruned.  It was time to get it pruned again and not only that, the roots were starting to shift the sidewalk a bit, but not to the point of causing a trip hazard just yet.  So, I went online and requested estimates from several local tree trimming services.  Jonathan from Majestic Tree Trimming Service was not only the quickest to respond, but the only one to respond.  I'm forever grateful that it was him that responded because not only did they do an amazing job at trimming the tree and thinning it out per city guidelines, they also took care of the root pruning.  Normally, root pruning is only allowed when a damaged sidewalk is being replaced.  So, I reached out to the City of San Jose Trees and Sidewalks division and requested permission to perform the root pruning as a preventative measure to having to replace the sidewalk again.  I had already replaced it once before.  So they granted me the free permit for both the tree trimming and root pruning.  The best part is that Majestic Tree Service is also on the recommended list of tree trimmers by the City of San Jose since they are ISA certified.  Wouldn't want the health of my tree put in the hands of the wrong tree trimming service.  Needless to say it was a win win.  They did an awesome job and cleaned up so well that when I got home, you wouldn't even have known that they were there other than seeing a beautifully groomed oak tree up above.  I'll definitely be using them for any future tree trimming services as well as recommending them to anyone else looking for tree trimming services.

Majestic Tree Service did a wonderful job pruning a big zelkova in front of our house! Before they came, the tree was dropping branches and around half the branches were dead. Jonathan responded very promptly to messages, was quick to come by to see the tree and schedule the work, quoted a very fair price among the quotes I received, and to top it all off the entire experience (including payment) was 100% contactless. The crew came and did the whole job while I was working, then cleaned up all the debris and were off without a trace - it was almost like magic. So easy! My main concern was finding a tree care service that knew how to prune the tree in a healthy and attractive way. There are quite a few similar trees in our neighborhood that have been sadly pruned, with large branches cut off halfway or even completely topped, and as this was our first time needing this service I looked into a bunch of businesses on Yelp to make sure our tree would avoid suffering the same fate. I'm so glad I found these guys because our tree looks beautiful now! It is nicely thinned out and looks good as new with the dead wood gone. Big thanks to Jonathan & the crew!
